Sharon Evonne (Gatling) Andrews

Obituary

Sharon (Gatling) Andrews entered this world on October 1,1951, sharing her birthday with her mother, Margie Gatling. Sharon lived in Waterbury and graduated from Wilby H.S. Soon after she met the love of her life, Horace Andrews, whom she was married to for 30 years and produced 4 children in their union before he preceded her in death in 2004.

Sharon served as a homemaker and lovingly cared for her husband and family. Sharon was very loving, kind, and generous, always putting others needs above her own. She was always the first to help out family members in need. She loved to cook, entertain, and have family gatherings. She also had a keen eye for decorating and made a beautiful home for her family in Prospect where she resided with for over 30 years.

Sharon completed her earthly journey and went to rest on April 7, 2020.

She is predeceased by her parents, Preston and Margie Gatling.

Left to continue her legacy of love and family and enjoy her precious memories are her children who she loved fiercely, Ramona Thorpe (Andrews) and her husband Duane, (Laurel, MD), Damon Andrews and his wife Angela, (Richmond, VA), Chyloe and Brandon Andrews, (Waterbury, CT.) Sharon was a proud grandmother who loved her grandchildren immensely. Left to treasure the precious moments they shared with their grandmother are Chyna, Jaida, Trey, Cheyenne, Cameron, Joshua, Laila, and Christian.

Sharon leaves behind 5 siblings, Moreen, John, Terri, Danielle, and Mark. (Waterbury, CT) Sharon's cousin, Beverly Campbell, (Landover, MD) whom she loved as a sister and her best friend, Sonya Nickelson,(Columbia SC), who never left her side. She also leaves an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
